Have you got a Road Legal Trail or Dual Sport Motorcycle, and are looking to get off sealed tarmac roads but are unsure where to go, a MotoFox Trail riding experience is here to help you find your feet. For your piece of mind I am a certified Commercial Overland Guide with The Overland Guides Association (OGA), A qualification which includes remote First Aid.

We grade our Trail Riding Experiences as follows:

• Green: These rides take in the easiest trails in the area, Mostly the trails are hard packed and graded. There are few very short sections that may push the limits of you comfort zone if you are new to this. These routes are all designed for people looking to take their Adventure Motorcycle off tarmac for the first time, largely they are passable on road biased tyres but there will be some short rutted sections that may test these tyres.

• Blue: These rides are a step up from the green routes ( you may consider taking on the trail skills day to bridge the gap) and are more suited to trail bikes however if you have a bit of experience of riding green lanes on your adventure bike you may find that these rides are accessible to you (if in doubt you can always enquire). The day starts and ends with hard packed lanes like the Green routes but in the middle you will find various challenges such as Ruts, Climbs and descents.

• Red: These rides are for regular trail riders who are confident on the majority of terrain including loose rocky climbs, slippery surfaces and unmaintained trails.

 

Further details about our different group trail rides can be found here. We offer a  coached skills day for those looking to develop and practise the basic skills required for the trails. This trail skills day bridges the gap from our Green to Blue, we recommend that riders new to off tarmac riding get the feel of things on one of our green guided rides before taking on the trail skills day.

Prices start from £75 a day or £60 for shorter rides with 121 or exclusive bookings available from £300.

MotoFox has a small fleet of Voge 300 Rally Adventure Motorcycles for you to hire if you wish to join our Trail Riding Experiences but don't have a suitable bike. These are available for Introductory Adventure Bike Experience, both Level 1 and level 2 trail riding experiences. Hire costs £100 for a day or £75 for short rides. (subject to terms and conditions)
