Motorcycling is a fun and enjoyable activity, but it is not without inherent risk of serious injury or death. Taking part in MotoFox Rider Experiences (MotoFox) activities is entirely voluntary and you do so at your own risk. MotoFox is not liable for any injury, illness or losses while taking part in the activity, this includes indirect or consequential losses that may be incurred as a result of joining a MotoFox Experience.

MotoFox Rider Experiences are designed for enjoyment safety on public roads. Therefore, all participants must adhere to The Highway Code or local traffic laws applicable whilst traveling in other countries. Please be aware that your participation may be terminated without a refund if these laws are breached.

• Responsibility for legal compliance rests with the participant, MotoFox does not offer any legal advice regrading to the laws that apply for any territory travelled on a MotoFox Experience

 

Additionally, our experiences are non-competitive; reckless riding racing is not permitted, and dangerous riding may also result in the of your participation without a refund. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone!

When we ride, we ride as a cohesive team. In some circumstances this means that team members could be expected to contribute to the group's success and safety, which may include actively helping fellow riders who may be struggling or stuck. During breaks, you'll be expected to engage in discussions regarding logistics and upcoming segments. If you prefer to ride solo, showcase personal performance, are more engaged with your electronic devices than your fellow riders, or aren't prepared to fully commit to the team dynamic, this may not be the right experience for you. If you need a moment away or to take a call, please briefly inform your experience leader so you don't miss essential safety or route information.

​MotoFox Experiences are self-supported. Our guides/ instructors facilitate the journey and itinerary, but they do not provide personal support for dressing, gear management, or packing. For those seeking a fully supported, all-inclusive adventure, please research other specialized providers.

​Definitions:

• Rider - The operator of the motorcycle

• Ride - An event that includes riding a motorcycle

• Experience - an event ran buy MotoFox

• Guide - An OGA certified guide employed by MotoFox or a Subcontractor

• Participant - Any client who joins or purchases a MotoFox Experience

Indeminty:

You agree to indemnify and hold MotoFox, its guides, employees, and contractors harmless from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your participation in any MotoFox activity, to the extent that such loss or damage is caused by your negligence, reckless behaviour, or breach of these Terms. This includes, without limitation, any third-party claims resulting from your actions while riding.

Payment:

• Full payment is required to secure your place on any single day experience or those with up to 2 overnight stays. Until full payment is received the booking is not confirmed.

  • Any Experience that involves overseas travel or 3 or more nights accommodation where a £100 deposit which is non refundable will be taken at the point of booking. Full payment will be required on the first day of the calendar month previous to departure. Once full payment is taken for an international tour it is deemed non refundable and if you decide to cancel no refund or benefit in kind is likely to be issued.​

• Cancellation:

  • 10 days prior to the event you may cancel at any time and a refund will be given less 10% of the original fee or you may rearrange to a experience (within 6 months) for no additional fee, however if there is a difference in price between the original booking and the alternative experience MotoFox will charge for the difference.

  • If your cancellation is within 10 days of the event then no refund or rearrangements are available

  • If there is a genuine circumstance beyond the control of the participant then please get in touch at your earliest convenience. If the participant can provide evidence (e.g. doctors note or evidence of transport cancelation) then the participant may rearrange to an alternative date within six months of the original experience. MotoFox reserves right to still charge for any irrecoverable costs including but not limited to accommodation or travel arrangements. 

  • Multi Day Experiences which include overnight accommodation will have a further £60 per night deducted from the booking if cancelled less than a month before the trip.

• In the unlikely event MotoFox needs to cancel your ride you may ask for a full refund or rearrange your experience for another date.

  • This  does not include services booked third parties (e.g. flights, ferries, accommodation etc.) and you should make sure you have travel insurance in place to cover these at the time of booking.

  • Should MotoFox need to cancel an experience you will be notified at the earliest possible opportunity however not all situations (e.g. illness, injury, natural disaster, etc.) can be predicted in advance.   ​

• If you have paid for other services (e.g. Bike transport, ferries or accommodation) in order to join a MotoFox Experience, MotoFox is not liable for the recovery of these costs regardless of the situation that caused them, please ensure you have appropriate insurance in place to cover this.

• MotoFox is a UK based company and your booking is a contract in the UK, under English law, regardless of the destination of the tour or your home residence. Local laws still apply in the destination countries.

The Participant:

• All riders must complete individual booking forms.

• All rides start with an informal riding assessment, please ensure your ability matches the descriptions of the ride. We highly recommend that if you are usure of where your abilities lie you book on to an easier rider first.

• ​As a rough guide:​

  • Green - I am competent on Surfaced Roads.​

  • Blue - I have done some trail riding, I accept that there may be some technical challenges.

  • Red - I am a competent and regular trail rider and am happy to ride most terrain.

• You must be fit enough in body and mind to participate in the activity. Please declare all health conditions, allergies or medications on the registration form, even if you think it is under control or a minor condition we would rather know. If applicable please carry any medication you may need to during the activity, please let you guide know where it is should it be needed during the activity. In certain circumstances you may be asked to get a certificate of fitness from your doctor before joining an experience.

• Water - You must carry water with you during the activity, especially during hot days we recommend a minimum of 2 litres.

• ​Alcohol and Drugs - if you appear to be under the influence of any substance that may impair your abilities you will be prevented joining the ride, on multi day adventures excessive drinking in the evening causing a "hangover" may result not being able to join the ride the next day. If this incurs additional expenses these will be passed on.

• ​Locks - On multi day experiences parking may be in an unsecured location. Please make sure you have appropriate security for your machine at lunch or overnight stops. MotoFox guides are not responsible for the security of clients property.

• PPE: The following Items of PPE are mandatory and you may not be permitted to join the experience without wearing the following Items:

  • An ECE 22.05 or ECE 22.06 rated motorcycle helmet

  • Sturdy motorcycle clothing with armour at the shoulders, elbows and knees. MotoFox also recommends back and hip armour.

  • Suitable protective gloves.

  • Clothing suitable for the prevailing weather. On multi day or international trips please ensure you are prepared for temperature and weather changes through our the trip. If your experience involves riding at various altitudes, hill or mountain ranges be prepared that cold and inclement weather can occur with little notice at all times of year.

  • If you are unsure if you have appropriate clothing for your experience we recommend contacting us before booking. 

    • If you fail to bring weather appropriate clothing on your experience MotoFox reserves the right to pass on any compensation claims  from other participants who have their experience impacted.
