Introduction to MotoFox

Thank you for engaging with the MotoFox Blog. MotoFox is my trading name, and I am Matt. I have been a motorcyclist for over 20 years and a trail rider nearly as long. For me, motorcycles are about exploring and not so much about all-out speed. Don't get me wrong, I love the feeling that twisting the throttle brings as much as the next person; I'm just not really that competitive.

I put this video together to explain how I got into trail riding and how that led to MotoFox. It explains how we grade our rides and introduces the Voge 300 Rallies we currently have available to hire.

Motofox Trail Ride Grading System

At Motofox, we grade our trail rides using a color-coded system ranging from green to red. Green trails are designed to be accessible for all motorcycle license holders regardless of experience, providing a gentle introduction to off-tarmac riding, while blue trails offer a moderate challenge for those with some experience. Red-rated trail rides cater to more experienced riders seeking a higher concentration of more technical riding without extreme terrain challenges. However, we do not offer black-rated runs, as our focus is not on serving the segment of the market looking for the most extreme trails in the UK. Instead, we prioritize creating a safe and enjoyable environment for riders of varying skill levels.

To further support our riders in their development, we offer a dedicated trail skills day. This program is specifically designed to fit between the green and blue-rated trail rides, helping participants to learn and practice essential techniques before bad habits can take root. By instilling these foundational skills, we aim to enhance the overall riding experience and ensure that our riders are well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
